In October of 1958, Loren "Pete" Buell and Floyd
Rash entered into a partnership and purchased Herman Criss
Hardware, which was located at 101 East Main Street in Jasonville,
Indiana (*click pictures below).
After the purchase,
the store became known as Buell and Rash Hardware.
Buell and Rash Hardware sold General Electric appliances, furniture,
bedding and LP tanks, along with a complete line of hardware, plumbing and electrical supplies. They did appliance repair,
plumbing and electrical work, with Floyd working service
and Pete working inside the store. In the fall of 1965,
Floyd Rash bought Pete Buell's remaining share of the store
and it was renamed Rash Hardware. Shortly after Floyd's
purchase, in 1967, Rash Hardware relocated to its present
location at 523 East Main Street in Jasonville, Indiana.
Fifty years after its beginning, Rash Hardware still continues
to serve customers in Jasonville, as well as surrounding
communities. Rash Hardware is a family-owned and
operated
business that prides itself on customer service and meeting
the needs of our fellow community members. We sell General
Electric appliances, hardware, plumbing and electrical supplies
and are more than willing to help our customers complete
their projects with ease.
